Sankalp Mahesh Pillai resides in Dubai, UAE. He developed the passion for chess at the age of nine on his own. He initially started playing on chess.com and lichess. We felt that he required guidance in terms of developing new tactics and plans, so we approached Brilliance Chess Academy. He has been learning chess under the supervision of Coach Roshan. He guides, clears doubts, corrects his inaccurate moves, and motivates him to work hard and improve his skillsets. We can see great strides in his game, approach, and outlook. He has progressed to Intermediate Level two. Sankalp has represented his school in chess tournaments and recently finished as runner-up in the academy’s latest tournament. The academy and coach have been instrumental in unlocking his true potential. He looks forward to attending more FIDE-rated tournaments in the future and making his own mark.
