I came to know about Brilliance Chess Academy through social media. At that time, I wasn’t even sure whether my daughter, Rithu Ranjith (Grade 4, Abu Dhabi Indian School), had an interest in chess.
Still, I decided to enrol her in the academy through online classes. Initially, we were assigned Mr. Oam, as her teacher. To be honest, I had some doubts about his experience at first. But as I started observing the classes regularly, I realized how excellent they were.
With great dedication and skill, Mr. Oam gradually brought my daughter, who had only a little interest in the beginning, into the world of chess. It was truly impressive to see her progress.
On a few occasions, when Mr. Oam had to take leave due to personal reasons, other teachers conducted the classes. I must say, each one of them was equally good, which shows the high standard maintained by the academy.
I sincerely wish Mr. Oam and the entire team behind Brilliance Chess Academy a bright and successful future.

I still remember when Rithu first started she was quiet, a bit unsure, and just beginning to explore the game. Over time, what has stood out the most is her willingness to learn and her calm, attentive nature during classes and she listens carefully, thinks before making moves, and shows a maturity beyond her level.
What’s especially impressive is how she has gradually developed genuine interest and curiosity toward chess. From initially playing without much confidence to now actively engaging, asking questions, and trying to understand ideas. Rithu has a natural ability to stay composed, which is a huge strength in chess. With continued practice, she has strong potential to build excellent calculation skills and positional understanding. If she keeps nurturing this consistency and curiosity, she can go quite far in the game.
