Dhanvin Sumith, 11 years old and studying at GIIS Thailand, began his chess training with BCA in September 2025 under Coach Mr Samresh.
He initially learned chess on his own by watching YouTube videos, and his strong passion for the game inspired us to enrol him in formal training. Since joining BCA, we have observed remarkable improvements in his skills, discipline, and overall approach to chess. His commitment and professional growth during this training period have truly impressed us.
Coach Feedback:
Dhanvin came to the class with previous knowledge of chess and is a sure, juggling king. He keeps hopping around activities, but pays full attention to the details in class. His learning curve extends beyond the class hours. He practices the skill with dedication and moves up the ladder. He was introduced to formal chess very recently, but his growth curve has been exceptional over time. He brings a fierce and competitive energy to the class, standing as the captain to drive the energy. Beyond the board, he stands, curious about the newer opportunities and is never afraid to take up newer challenges.
