Great minds are tested not in calm waters, but in times of restriction. When recent regional situations in the Gulf unpredictably hampered outdoor activities and routines, Keerthana didn’t let the limitations narrow her world. Instead, she opened up a small, unassuming chessboard at home.
What began as friendly matches with family and engaging online games quickly ignited a powerful passion. In a quiet room in Doha, away from the disruptions outside, Keerthana found a world of endless strategy and focus.
Before discovering chess, Keerthana was already known for her vibrant creative soul. She is an amazing singer, an artist who expresses her thoughts through beautiful drawings, and a young writer who pens her own heartfelt poetry.
Chess, rather than clashing with her creative nature, has added a magnificent new feather to her cap. It bridged the gap between logic and imagination. The same mind that visualizes metaphors for poems and melodies for songs now visualizes complex tactical combinations on the board.
The impact of chess has beautifully rippled into her everyday personality:
