Dua Mariyam Shafeeq is a 7-year-old girl living in Qatar. She is currently studying in Grade 3 at Ideal Indian School. She developed an interest in chess and joined coaching classes in April 2026 under the guidance of her coach, Jai Kumar, to further explore and strengthen her skills in the game. Since beginning her training, she has been learning various tactics, strategies, and techniques that enhance her understanding of chess. Through regular practice and guidance from her coach, she continues to improve her critical thinking, concentration, and decision-making abilities. She also shows enthusiasm for learning and is eager to develop her skills and confidence as a young chess player.
