Meet Cyril Varghese, a 12-year-old living in Qatar, originally from Kerala, India. Cyril developed an interest in chess through friendly games with family and friends, and soon discovered how exciting and challenging the game can be. He enjoys learning new strategies, solving tricky puzzles, and sharpening his skills with every match he plays. One of Cyril’s favorite parts of his chess journey is attending coaching sessions, where he learns advanced techniques and gains confidence with each lesson. He is eager to continue improving and looks forward to participating in tournaments and competing with other young chess enthusiasts!
