Shivani Thirunavukkarasu, a 9-year-old girl from Qatar, is currently studying in Grade 4.
We enrolled her in Brilliance Chess Academy to help improve her thinking skills.
Shivani began her chess journey under the guidance of her coach, Ms. Dara Chetana Ma’am, who has been extremely supportive and encouraging throughout. Under her mentorship, Shivani has learned key chess strategies and shown remarkable improvement in her game.
She is now confidently participating in chess competitions at school, and we feel truly happy and proud to see her growth and progress. We are extremely grateful to Brilliance Chess Academy and her coach Ms. Dara Chetana Ma’am for their constant support and guidance towards Shivani.
Coach Feedback:
When Shivani first joined, she was enjoying chess the way most kids do—she loved the classes, participated actively, and was always regular. But over time, I witnessed a remarkable transformation in her approach to the game. Now, whenever I show her puzzles, she rarely gives a wrong answer. Her ability to learn and apply concepts has improved drastically, which has been a real pleasure to watch as a coach.
Shivani has also been attending the practice sessions with great dedication, and she consistently performs well there too. She is a very positive and enthusiastic child, and her presence brings a cheerful energy to the class—making it never boring when she’s around.
I truly believe Shivani has tremendous potential in chess, and with her dedication, she will only keep getting better. It’s been an absolute joy coaching her.
