Abel is an 8-year-old boy currently living in Qatar. He began developing a passion for chess in 2024. To pursue this interest further, he decided to take classes with his coach, Dara Chetana. Through these lessons, he has learned several tactics and moves that help him build strategies throughout the game.
Since starting, Abel has shown noticeable improvement in his critical thinking, especially in challenging situations. He has also taken the initiative to watch instructional videos on YouTube to strengthen his gameplay. We are proud of his dedication and the effort he puts into learning and improving .

Abel Tom is one of the most active and enthusiastic students in my class. His passion for chess at such a young age is truly remarkable. At just 8 years old, Abel consistently demonstrates a deep curiosity for the game — he eagerly explores new concepts every day and shows a genuine desire to understand all aspects of chess.
What sets Abel apart is not only his enthusiasm but also his sharp thinking and quick responses. He is often the first to answer questions in class, doing so with impressive speed and accuracy, all while maintaining a calm and quiet demeanor. This balance of energy and focus is rare and commendable in a young learner.
Abel’s positive energy brings a spark to the classroom, and it’s genuinely inspiring to see how engaged and motivated he is. I have no doubt he has a very bright future in chess.
