Alvin is a 10-year-old boy currently living in Muscat, Oman . He discovered his passion for chess earlier this year. To further nurture his interest, he began taking chess lessons with his coach, Sagar, by February 2025 . Since then, Alvin has shown steady progress—learning important tactics, improving his opening strategies, and building confidence in handling complex positions during a game. His critical thinking and focus have noticeably improved, not just on the chessboard but in everyday situations as well. Alvin has also taken the initiative to watch chess videos on YouTube and solve puzzles on his own, showing true dedication to growing his skills and love for the game.
