Hugo’s Chess Journey

Hugo is 10 years old and lives in Mauritius. He started learning chess about a year ago, and since then his passion for the game has grown tremendously. What began as a new hobby quickly became something he truly enjoys and looks forward to every week.

Thanks to the guidance, patience, and motivating teaching methods of his coach, Hugo has gained confidence, improved his concentration, and developed a real love for chess. He especially enjoys puzzles, learning new strategies, and challenging himself through every game.

One of the nicest things chess has brought to our family is the many games we now play together at home — even if we are starting to lose against him more and more often! These moments have become fun family memories while helping Hugo grow in focus, patience, and discipline.

We are very happy with his progress and grateful to the academy for creating such a positive and encouraging environment for young players.
