Faeyza Al-Abiyyu, an 11-year-old with a vibrant imagination and curiosity from East Kalimantan, Indonesia, began his chess journey in 2023 to explore his growing interests and talents.

Faeyza began taking lessons with his coach, Sarbojit, in June 2025.

Through this guidance, Faeyza learned various chess techniques and strategies. He learned how to think several moves ahead in a game, prepare defenses, and escape from attacks. He enthusiastically plays chess both online and offline to strengthen his skills and sharpen his strategies, hoping to demonstrate remarkable growth in critical thinking and initiative.

Faeyza’s chess achievements include:

– 2023: First Runner-Up in the East Kutai Regency Chess Championship, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

 -2024, 2nd place in the East Kutai Regency Chess Championship, East Kalimantan, Indonesia

-2024, 9th place finalist in the East Kalimantan Provincial Chess Championship

-2025, 2nd place in the East Kutai Regency Chess Championship, East Kalimantan, Indonesia
