Brilliant kid of the month from UK-April 2024-Arjun Basetti May 2, 2024 Uncategorized Parent Feedback – Arjun embarked his chess journey since he was 5 years old . His uncle introduced him to chess and Arjun instantly was fascinated with the game which led to coaching from Siddharth Sir a year later during Covid. Siddharth Sir’s wonderful teaching further ignited Arjun’s passion to play chess. Learning chess has helped Arjun to develop his logical , problem solving skills, enhanced his confidence. Arjun loves his game and boasts his skills and often plays with his friends and us. In each class you can hear how delightful he is and enjoys learning new moves. Due to Covid and him busy with studying for grammar school entrance exams we couldn’t start him participating in tournaments. Now we are looking at chess clubs outside the academy too to give him the platform to excel his game and enjoy. Looking forward for Arjun to drive his passion for chess under Sir’s amazing guidance . Coach Feedback – Arjun is a cheerful boy! He learns and plays chess with so much passion in the class. He gives equal importance to doing Puzzles and playing games. He is one of the kids who is very consistent and never feels bad in defeat or very joyous in victory, which is actually very tough considering he is only 10 years old! Mature but at the same time always happy and cheerful. Rare to find these traits in kids! With these qualities, Arjun is consistently improving his game and is actually very creative in Chess, trying to think out of the box and being unorthodox sometimes surprises me as his unusual moves are very good! Brilliant kid of the month from Switzerland-April 2024-Shiven May 2, 2024 Uncategorized Parent Feedback – Shiven is learning advanced level of chess with Siddharth for last 3 years. Shiven loves chess and Siddharth has prepared him well for local tournaments which Shiven is a close winner. Siddharth is extremely patient with kids and teaches complicated concepts easily understandable and fun way to kids. Shiven’s passion towards chess is credited to Siddharth and his ways of teaching. Coach Feedback – Shiven is an example of comebacks and change of attitude! Shiven grasped chess concepts quickly, his game and rating were increasing but suddenly Shiven started to get Rating Phobia ( which is quite normal in Chess) and almost lost interest in Chess! With time and dedication Shiven improved his psychological aspects of rating and now plays chess for enjoyment which actually helped him to increase his rating back, his confidence improved and now he is looking forward to play Chess anytime! Brilliant kid of the month from US-April 2024-Thomas May 2, 2024 Uncategorized Parent Feedback – Thomas is a 10 year old who currently resides in Virginia, USA. He started his chess journey during Covid, where he played online and with his older sister. Once his interest became clear, he started learning chess with his coach, Siddharth, to learn new techniques and tactics. Since then, we have seen exceptional progress in his chess skills through puzzles and games, and he will be attending his first in-person tournament soon. Apart from chess, Thomas enjoys playing soccer, video games, coding, and math. Coach Feedback – Thomas is a hardworking kid! It’s very rare to find them these days, he does a lot of tactics in Chess and looks forward to doing as many tactics as possible!
