H Shanjeet Sundhar is 10 years old, hailing from India, currently residing in Muscat, Oman. He developed his interest in chess from one of his friends, whose mother used to take chess classes to kids. He showed passion for the game and slowly fostered his skills and started to practice moves by watching YouTube channels. We, at home, play occasionally, wherein he sometimes astonishes us with his innovative moves. Thus, we realised his potential and decided to nurture by providing professional chess training with Brilliance Chess academy. He is undergoing training with his coach, Mr. Sagar, since February 2025. They share a friendly and healthy bonding, for which we are grateful to his coach. He has learnt multiple strategies and is building upon it. He takes pride in expressing his chess acumen to his friends and is ambitious to represent his skills at school level and beyond. She is currently studying in class 5. Her chess journey began learning with her father and her brother and later she joined Brilliant Chess Academy in the month of January 2025 she has been thoroughly enjoying and learning chess with Mr. Roshan. Outside of class hours, she actively engages with chess puzzles, practices in tournaments, and plays against the computer. She has a habit of analysing her mistakes independently and finding alternative ways to improve and win. We are eagerly waiting to see her dreams come true. She’s a super active child and always eager to learn something new. Whilst thinking of an extra curricular activity which would also be a good brain exercise, I decided to enroll my daughter for chess. She discovered a love for chess thanks to her very patient and kind coach, Mr Roshan, of Brilliance Chess Academy. Khiara looks forward to each session with enthusiasm. She’s is now so passionate about chess that she practices on her own and shares her experience enthusiastically with me after each game. Her coach has made the learning a fun experience and manages to take the best out of Khiara. Teaching kids isn’t always easy but I salute the discipline and dedication of the Coach and the Academy. Since his first interaction with Pankaj Pujapanda Sir during the demo class held in Jan 2025, Pankaj Sir has been his favourite teacher.
