As parents we always wanted our son to adopt traditional ways of entertainments for himself rather than modern gadgets. So we introduced him to chess, at the age of 5. He showed his interest and we wanted him to learn it properly. We were in search of a good institution and coach and came across with brilliant chess academy through face book. We were curious whether he would understand the complex concepts of chess. His coach Roshan sir was so friendly and expert in simplifying ideas to the kid’s level. He started understanding slowly and developed his interest towards chess. Now he wanted to involve in it in his free times, inviting us to play. His concentration, problem solving skills, creativity improved. He is a type of introvert kid who is comfortable only in his own family, slowly developed his attachment towards Roshan sir and is waiting for the classes and practice sessions. Once upon a time, chess was a BIG No for me—I didn’t know how to play! But everything changed when I learned the basics in just an hour at my school. It was fascinating, and I wanted to explore more. That’s why I’m here today! When my dad asked me how I feel about chess now, here’s what I said: ✨ CALM – Chess makes me feel peaceful and helps me focus better. 😃 FUN – I enjoy meeting and interacting with new people through the game. 📚 LEARNING – Learning something new is always exciting, and chess is one of the best! 🏆 WINNING – Winning feels great because it means I’m improving with practice. 🙂 LOSING – At first, I used to feel upset, but chess taught me sportsmanship—now, I take it as a lesson and keep moving forward! He is won trophies in Badminton, roller skates, football, Gaveliers Club for public speaking, Basketball, etc. Chess is something he plays leisurely with his dad right from the time he knows that it makes you mentally strong. However he losses to Dad no matter how hard he tries. The recent young Gukesh’s inspiring journey in chess made him realise this is to be learnt right. So he convinced his mom that he want to learn it right and take it more professionally, rather than Sunday evening leisure time. He started to attend these classes from Dec 2024 and he really loves his time spent with his coach and fellow classmates. He is slowly learning the art of the game and comes out of class with slight grin on his face. We believe joining Brilliance Chess Academy is nurturing him and increasing the confidence level Thank you Coach Pankaj for all the guidance and support.
