Parent Feedback:
Aqib is a 9-year-old living in Qatar who has developed a strong passion for chess. To encourage and support his interest, he began taking chess classes with his coach, Hemendra, around June 2026. Since then, he has been learning new tactics, moves, and strategic ideas that help him approach different situations during a game.
“We are very happy to see Aqib’s growing interest in chess. Since he started his classes with Hemendra around June 2026, we have noticed positive progress in the way he thinks about different positions and situations on the chessboard. He is becoming more patient, more thoughtful, and more interested in finding solutions rather than making quick moves.
Aqib also takes the initiative to watch chess videos on YouTube to learn new ideas and strengthen his strategies. At home, he enjoys playing regularly with his father and uncle, and he also plays chess online. It is wonderful to see him enjoy the game while developing skills such as concentration, planning, and critical thinking. We hope he continues to learn, enjoy chess, and grow with the same enthusiasm.”
Coach Feedback:
“Aqib is an enthusiastic and curious young chess student. Since beginning his lessons, he has shown a willingness to learn different tactics and moves and to understand how they can be used as part of a broader game strategy. He is increasingly able to think through certain positions before making a move and is showing improvement in his decision-making and critical thinking in appropriate game situations.
One of Aqib’s strengths is his curiosity outside the classroom. His interest in watching chess videos and practicing with family members and online opponents gives him additional opportunities to see different positions and ideas. His enthusiasm and regular practice are helping him build a stronger understanding of the game.
I encourage Aqib to keep enjoying chess, analyze his games, ask questions, and remain patient while learning. His enthusiasm is a valuable foundation for continued progress.”
“Keep learning, keep thinking, and keep enjoying the game!”
