Parent Feedback –
Kayden Joe Limberlie, a 10-year-old from Indonesia, has been athletic and active from a young age. Among the many board games he enjoys, chess quickly became his favourite. Although he loved playing with his grandfather, he wasn’t always able to win which motivated him to work harder and improve his skills.
Recognizing that chess enhances strategic thinking and strengthens cognitive abilities, we enrolled him at Brilliance Chess Academy. We are truly grateful that he had the opportunity to learn under the guidance of Ms. Dara Chetana.
When Kayden first began, he often lost to his two friends who were strong chess players. However, after attending regular classes, we have seen remarkable improvement in his game. He now competes with confidence and is able to win against them.
Most importantly, he genuinely enjoys Ms. Dara’s classes and always looks forward to attending them. We are very proud of his progress and hope that soon he will achieve his goal of beating his grandfather at chess!

Kayden is a very active and energetic child who brings wonderful enthusiasm to every class. His presence truly lights up the session the class feels much more lively and engaging when he is there. He naturally adds humour and positivity, creating a happy and healthy learning environment for everyone.
He is highly competitive and always tries his best to win. While he sometimes feels disappointed after a loss, I have seen him gradually develop stronger resilience and a better understanding of the game. This emotional growth has been an important part of his journey.
Initially, Kayden struggled and faced challenges in his games. However, within a short period of time, he showed remarkable improvement through consistent effort and dedication. His progress has been impressive, and it reflects his hard work and determination to become better each day.
Kayden is quick to respond, actively participates in discussions, and is always eager to share his ideas. He is both energetic and hardworking a combination that will surely help him continue growing in chess.
I look forward to seeing his progress in the coming months.
