Ameya Jithin is a 12-year-old living in Dubai, UAE. She was introduced to chess through games with her father, initially playing with the aim of defeating him. Over time, this challenge developed into a genuine interest in the game. Wanting to strengthen her understanding and skills, she decided to take formal chess classes. After coming across an advertisement for a chess program at Brilliance Chess Academy, she joined the chess classes in July 2025 and began structured training under the guidance of her coach, Sagar. His teaching has helped her build strong fundamentals, improve her strategic thinking, and gain confidence in her play. Through regular practice and learning, Ameya continues to progress and enjoy the focus and discipline that chess requires.
